"The aroma of this wine is almost hallucinogenic, a wild mix of earth, blackberries and raspberries. The mouth is juicy, powered by the wine's fruit with eccentric little details of meatiness and earthiness that focus on its originality and distinction. Vespres is an old-vine blend of garnacha (80 percent) and mazuelo."
A wine with a wonderful deep color. It is full of pronounced red and black fruit. The wine's wide aromatic range includes notes of spices and cocoa with toffee notes appearing over time. Above all, the mouth is spectacular, being elegant and full of flavor with a long finish and extraordinary finesse. It is beautifully structured and appears to expand on the palate.
Blend: 80% Garnacha, 20% Mazuelo
Alcohol by volume: 14.0%
About Celler Dosterras
Founded in the early 2000s by Josep Grau upon a base of Garnatxa and Samsó (Carignan) vines between 40 and 100 years of age in the traditional Priorat villages of Marça, Capçanes and Falset. Llicorella, chalk and clay terroirs exist side by side, allowing for subtle interplay between boldness and minerality. Maximum attention is paid to minimization of oak influence.
